Growing up in Sweden
The outdoors shaped me.
Skiing, hiking and climbing were part of everyday life. In the 1980s I climbed on Swedish granite and French limestone and established new routes. It taught me preparation, judgment, problem solving and commitment.
The first computer
Building to understand.
My first computer was a Telmac built around an RCA 1802 processor. Personal computing was something you assembled and understood from the inside out.
Today
Still building.
I continue to build technology, develop management methods and write books. I live in the Canary Islands, where I am restoring a century-old house.
